1. Attack on Titan (Season 4 Part 3)

In Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3, Eren triggers "The Rumbling" to destroy the world. Titans march for destruction, leading to a final battle with Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Hange, Reiner, Annie, Pieck, and the injured Levi challenging Eren. The narrative transforms as Eren, once a protagonist, becomes a complex antagonist with a goal to annihilate those opposing him, reshaping the story.

2. Vinland Saga (Season 2)

Set a year after the first season, the focus of this season shifts to Einar, an English slave working on a farm who crosses paths with the protagonist, Thorfinn. Thorfinn, now enslaved, grapples with a harsh reality—he realizes the toll of his vengeful quest for his father's death, marked by a trail of slain men. 3. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Season 3)

Demon Slayer Season 3 centers on the intense Hashira battles, with Tanjiro's mission to protect Pillar Nezuko. Collaborating with characters like Mitsuri Kanroji and Sanemi Shinazugawa, Tanjiro confronts powerful foes to safeguard humanity. The storyline delves into Muzan Kibutsuji's attempts to break the Hashira's barrier for dominance. In the end, Tanjiro's team facing Muzan, stands out for its intense execution and breathtaking visuals. The Audience appreciates the additional background on Muzan's past, enhancing understanding of character dynamics.It successfully combines visuals, storytelling, and action for a memorable experience.

4. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End immediately captivated audience with its unique narrative. Unlike traditional fantasy anime, it deviates from the hero party vs. demon lord trope, starting at the end of its heroes' saga. Frieren, the immortal elf mage, embarks on a poignant journey, retracing her party's adventures with new disciples.

5. Pluto

Netflix's Pluto embodies the dream adaptation for anime fans, derived from Naoki Urasawa's manga adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's revered Astro Boy series. The storyline, following detective Gesicht investigating a series of murders linked to the enigmatic robot Pluto, adds depth to the narrative. Pluto goes beyond typical battle anime, offering profound commentary on artificial intelligence in a world marked by animosity. 

6. Oshi no Ko

Oshi no Ko stands out as a highly anticipated anime adaptation of its original manga. It follows a doctor and his recently deceased patient who were reborn as twins to a famous Japanese pop idol and navigate the highs and lows of the country's entertainment industry as they grow up together through their lives. The story isn’t afraid to be dark when it needs to be, however it never feels like it’s to much as there are plenty of other themes to be explored.

7. Jujutsu Kaisen (Season 2)

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 emerged as the year's most awaited show, and kudos to those dodging the not-so-subtle fandom hype, particularly around the Shibuya arc, without spoilers. It focuses on Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto during their time as students at Jujutsu High, and how they became enemies. "Shibuya Incident" takes place in the present as the Sorcerers and Curses engage in an all-out war in Shibuya on Halloween. Studio Mappa excelled in capturing the emotional highs and lightning-fast action of Jujutsu Kaisen, making it a standout this season.

8. Heavenly Delusion

Heavenly Delusion pleasantly surprised this year as a Hulu sci-fi anime. Following two kids in a post-apocalyptic world, armed with a battery-powered beam pistol, they battle monsters and bandits in search of heaven. The series, reminiscent of The Last of Us, gradually reveals insights into their dystopian world in each episode, keeping viewers eagerly anticipating more. Here's hoping future seasons answer the lingering questions.

9. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury

Giant robot anime and lesbian love stories collide in the captivating Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. This unique blend also incorporates substantial space politics and 2D-drawn mecha battles. G Witch serves as an excellent entry into the vast Gundam series, featuring commendable protagonists Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran, regardless of Bandai Namco's recognition of their romantic connection.

10. My Happy Marriage

Set in an alternative Taisho era with fading magic, Miyo Saimori faces servitude due to her lack of supernatural abilities. Approaching marriageable age, her dreams shatter upon learning about her fiancé, the seemingly harsh Commander Kiyoka Kudou. Homeless and resigned, Miyo discovers her betrothed is not the monster she anticipated. As they gradually open up, both realize their union might be the key to true love and happiness in this magical era.
